Duodenitis is the inflammation of the duodenum (the first part of the small intestine), which is located right below your stomach. It results in digestive complaints, ulceration of the duodenal lining, and inflamed and damaged duodenal mucosa that appears 2 to 3 hours after eating or at night. Often pain is relieved by eating.
